One of the highlights of our campus renovation project has been our incredible new playgrounds! Our students have absolutely loved exploring their new spaces and our teachers are enjoying watching how differently their classes play in these updated areas. If you have driven down University Boulevard you have most likely noticed that our new playground does not look like your typical playground with climbing structures. With the theme of nature play, the spaces include natural materials and landscaping and focus on giving children a rich sensory experience.

These beautiful spaces promote healthy physical and social development for our children. At any given time, you will see students climbing up and rolling down a hill, jumping from tree stump to tree stump, engaging in sand and water play and cruising the paths on our new fleet of bikes! I have seen our outdoor playhouse transform into an ice cream parlor, a car repair shop and even a fire station. It’s amazing to witness the creativity that these new spaces promote! Our final outdoor spaces will be completed over Christmas Break, when we will introduce an additional playground and a new outdoor meeting and learning space.
